Assessment of Carolina Core learning outcomes combines grades from assignments selected by course instructors with scores from expert raters of sample assignments using the Carolina Core assessment rubrics. Assignment grades are compared with rater scores to ensure consistency. Results are shared with Carolina Core program administrators—including deans, associate deans, department or division chairs, committee faculty, and course instructors—for discussion and improvement planning.
